UEF Finance and Accounting freshmen explore businesses, building early career development strategies

Continuing a series of activities aimed at equipping students with practical knowledge and hands-on skills, on December 11, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting (UEF) organized a business visit for first-year students to gain real-world exposure at two organizations: VietBank (Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank) and New World Fintech. This field trip is part of the Faculty’s Company Tour program for the 2025 intake.

The visit attracted a large number of students from three majors: Finance–Banking, Accounting, and Auditing. This is an important component of the Faculty’s practice-oriented training strategy, enabling students to experience a professional workplace environment that differs significantly from the academic setting on campus.

Joining and supporting the student group at VietBank was Dr. Bui Thanh Long (Faculty member). Leading the student group visiting New World Fintech was M.A. Do Quang Minh (Faculty member).

At VietBank, the UEF delegation was welcomed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Minh (Chief Accountant) and Ms. Pham Thi Huong Hanh (Recruitment Department Director). At New World Fintech, the group was received by Mr. Dam Thanh Hiep (Chairman of the Board of Directors, New World Group Asset Management Consulting and Investment JSC).

The Faculty of Finance and Accounting (UEF) expressed appreciation to the host organizations

At each organization, students were guided through departmental tours and learned in detail about the organizational structure, operating model, functions of each unit, and overall workflows. A key highlight was the thematic session, where business representatives shared career opportunities for students interested in working in the industry.

The experts clearly presented suitable job positions that students from the three majors can pursue. By analyzing labor market needs and future career trends, the talk helped students identify development goals and build more effective personal study plans.
